The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it is alarmed regarding the significant amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office committed to service the area each day. The provider place created for intervention activities a high influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to permit the servicing of all buyers and raise usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
